For instance, you can ask your mom for some help by explaining what you would like to get for your mother-in-law and would appreciate it if she could give you a little guidance on what would be appreciated. You can also ask your mother-in-law for the same type of help on picking something for your mom, she will probably be thrilled that you came to her and everyone knows that it is always a good thing to impress your mother-in-law. Asking for this type of assistance is also more likely to result in giving them something that they really do like and will wear.
